Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear?

The only requirement is all participants must wear closed toe shoes.

Can guests come to watch?

Of course non-throwers are welcome to join the fun! We have stools and drop-down bars on both sides of the trailer where spectators and throwers alike can safely enjoy the fun.

Can my child participate in axe throwing?

Axe throwing is suitable for all ages and skill levels. Even those who have never held an axe before will find themselves hitting the targets quickly. Axe throwing participants must be 10 years of age or older.  For those under 10 years old, we offer toy axes and targets to enjoy at no extra cost.

Can I bring my own axe?

Unfortunately, our insurance does not cover the use of outside axes. We will provide freshly sharpened axes for your event.

What is axe throwing?

Axe throwing is a century-old sport in which players throw axes at wooden targets. Points are scored by hitting marked rings on the target. Points increase towards the center of the target.

What happens if it rains?

Our trailer is equipped with a roof so we can operate in light rain. If the weather gets too bad, we will gladly reschedule your event, but unfortunately, we cannot offer a refund.

What type of space do you need to set up your trailer for axe throwing?

We require a fairly level area to set up and need a minimum of 30 feet x 15 feet of land that is easily accessible from the road.

How many people can throw during a two hour event?

Typically 10-20 participants can comfortably throw at least two 5-minute games.

Do I need to know how to throw an axe?

No experience is required. Our axe master will show you everything you need to know as well as provide tips and tricks to help perfect your technique.

 Is axe throwing safe?

Throwing axes is similar to other target sports. Our team members will review our safety protocols at the start of the event. Participants must follow the safety instructions and use common sense. Any violation of our safety policies or other unsafe behavior may result in being ineligible to throw. Eligibility is at the discretion of the on-site team member. Your event fee will not be refunded.
